CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) AND CLINIC VISITS

The COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the United States. Here at PRIMMED we have taken extra precautions with enhanced sanitizing, triaging staff and patients as they come in, only allowing patients in the building, and converting all Follow-Up patients to remotely connect by Telehealth (Computer, FaceTime, Duo, Telephonic).

For the safety of our patients, team members, and the community we REQUIRE the patients to follow these steps:

  • Please do not come to the clinic if you are presently symptomatic or recently have experienced symptoms of the flu including but not limited to fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath
  • Upon arrival ONLY THE PATIENT IS ALLOWED IN THE CLINIC. FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, ETC. HAVE TO STAY IN THEIR VEHICLE
  • The patient will be triaged by having their temperature taken and answer several questions. If the patient is deemed low risk and healthy, THEY WILL HAVE TO RETURN TO THEIR VEHICLE AND WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE CALLED ON THEIR CELLPHONE TO COME BACK INTO THE CLINIC
  • NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN THE WAITING AREA
  • NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO STAND/SIT OUTSIDE THE CLINIC DOOR. EVERYONE MUST BE IN THEIR VEHICLE

Thank you for your cooperation. The only way we can get through this pandemic is to work together.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) AND INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES

The COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the United States. Here at PRIMMED we have taken extra precautions with enhanced sanitizing, triaging staff and patients as they come in, only allowing patients in the building, and converting all Follow-Up patients to remotely connect by Telehealth (Computer, FaceTime, Duo, Telephonic).

We understand that the decision to postpone or cancel your procedure is not an easy one. Our goal is to be here for our patients and to continue care without disruption. However, at this time safety being our primary concern, we ask you to consider postponing your procedure if you fall into any of the following categories:

  • You are presently symptomatic or recently have experienced symptoms of the flu including but not limited to fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath OR
  • You have recently returned from outside the country OR
  • Your present level of pain is well-controlled OR
  • You are part of the identified “at-risk” group who are susceptible to complications with COVID-19, this includes patients over the age of 65 and those who are immunocompromised OR
  • You have continuous contact with children, elderly, or the immunocompromised

Although there is no evidence to suggest that corticosteroid injections result in a substantial increase in risk of infection with COVID-19, there is a possible reduction in the immune response for up to a few weeks. While this risk is extremely low, it needs to be taken into consideration when making the decision whether to proceed with your procedure.

Thank you for your cooperation. The only way we can get through this pandemic is to work together.
